I was commissioned to produce the artist project for C Magazine's issue 153, Chinatown. In response, I befriended Francis, the bartender and owner of Apollo -- a bar in Toronto's East Chinatown, near where I live. I offered to give Francis a gift as the project. After some discussion, it was decided that I would give him a drawing of a monkey, which referenced the logo outside and was inspired by his daughter's Chinese Zodiac sign.
